Student Non-Solicitation / Non-Poaching Policy
Students, Clients & Business Protection Policy.
This policy forms part of the Academy's Student Handbook and applies to all students attending any training delivered by Beautique Beauty & Aesthetics.
1. Purpose
Beautique Beauty & Aesthetics ("the Academy") invests significant time, resources and reputation into recruiting, supporting and training learners, and serving salon clients. This policy protects the Academy, its learners, clients and staff from unfair or unethical conduct, including poaching, solicitation, or misuse of Academy relationships for personal financial gain.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all students, learners, models and visitors attending training, assessments, observation days, model days or any Academy-related learning activity. It applies to conduct in person and online (including social media and messaging).
3. Definitions
- Poaching / solicitation means attempting to persuade, encourage, recruit, divert, entice or influence any Academy student, client or model to stop using the Academy or to engage with the student privately or through another business.
- Clients includes anyone who has booked, received, enquired about or attended services / model days connected to Beautique Beauty & Aesthetics.
- Students includes anyone booked, enrolled or attending any Academy training.
- Academy Contacts includes names, phone numbers, emails, social profiles, booking details and any personal details of Academy clients, students and models.
4. Prohibited conduct (strictly not allowed)
- Soliciting Academy clients for private treatments or services.
- Encouraging clients to cancel or avoid the Academy to book with the student instead.
- Soliciting or recruiting Academy students into other businesses, training providers or schemes.
- Using Academy sessions or group chats to advertise competing services or training.
- Collecting, recording, photographing, copying or misusing Academy contact information for personal gain.
- Leaving business cards, leaflets, QR codes or booking links on Academy premises.
5. What is allowed
General marketing to the public is allowed, provided it is not targeted at Academy clients, students or models. Students may share portfolio content, provided confidentiality is maintained and no personal data is disclosed.
6. Duration
Students agree not to solicit Academy students or clients during training and for 12 months from the date their course ends (or their last attendance date if they withdraw).
7. Breach & consequences
Breaches are treated seriously and may result in immediate removal from training with no refund, refusal to issue certificates (where professional conduct requirements are not met), bans from future training, and / or further action to protect the Academy's business interests.
8. Confidentiality & data protection
All Academy client and student information is confidential. Students must not photograph booking systems, paperwork, registers or consultation forms, or share any personal data outside of Academy purposes. Any misuse may be treated as a GDPR breach.
9. Acknowledgement
By signing the enrolment form, the Student confirms they understand and agree to comply with this policy.
